Removing Backgrounds Made Easy with PhotoCut

Learn how to use PhotoCut’s Remove Background feature

Hey there! Do you want to learn how to remove the background from your photos? Well, PhotoCut is here to help you out. With PhotoCut, you can quickly get rid of the background in your pictures and even choose to replace it with something else or make it transparent.

On iPhone and iPad

If you're using an iPhone or iPad, here's how you can remove the background from a photo:

1. On the Create page, select Start from Photo or Remove Background.

‍

2. Choose a photo from your device or take a new one using the Camera option.

‍

3. PhotoCut will automatically remove the background for you.

‍

4. You can use the Cutout feature to refine the edges of the remaining parts of the photo if needed.

‍

5. Select a template to give your image a background. You can choose the Transparent template for an empty background or pick from the various templates available.

‍

6. Finally, select the Export icon to save your edited photo.

On Android

If you're using an Android device, here's how you can remove the background from a photo:

1. On the Create page, select Start from Photo or Remove Background.

‍

2. Choose a photo from your device or take a new one using the Camera option.

‍

3. PhotoCut will automatically remove the background for you.

‍

4. You can use the Cutout feature to refine the edges of the remaining parts of the photo if needed.

5. Select a template to give your image a background. You can choose the Transparent template for an empty background or pick from the various templates available.

6. Finally, select the Share icon to save your edited photo.

‍

7. On the Export page, select Done to save your image to Your Designs on the Your Content page.

On Web App

‍

1.To use the Web App to remove the background of a photo.

‍

2.On the Create page, drag-and-drop an image into the box. Alternatively, click the + Select a photo button and choose a photo from your computer.

‍

3.When you upload your photo, the Web App will automatically remove the background for you.Choose a template and then select Apply new template.

‍

4.In order to give your image a background, you need to choose a template. If you want a transparent background, select the Transparent template. Otherwise, you can choose from a variety of other templates available.

‍

5.Select Download to download a local copy of your image.

‍

6.Once you are satisfied with your edited image, you can download it to your computer by clicking the Download button.

‍

After downloading your image, you can go back to the main page by clicking the Back button.

Photocut saves your image to Designs in the Your Content section.

Your edited image will be saved in the Designs section of the Web App, so you can access it later if needed.
