Transparent Backgrounds in PNG Images Become White

Do your transparent PNG photos appear to have a white backdrop instead of being transparent? Since the introduction of iOS 13, several people have noticed similar problems. Transparent PNG files could become non-transparent JPG files when you import images over iTunes or iCloud sync. To avoid this, try using AirDrop or downloading your PNG images from a web link instead of sharing through iPhoto.

How to Confirm Your File Has Been Converted?

If you're not sure if your file has been converted, try pressing edit on the image in the Apple Photos app. If the background turns black, then the transparency has been maintained. Why are There Watermarks on Paid Images?

Step 1. Make sure your membership has not expired.

• From the PhotoCut App: Tap “Settings” in the upper right corner to check your membership expiration time.

• From the PhotoCut Web: Click your avatar to see if your membership is still active.

Step 2. Check if you are logged in to the correct account

If you've already paid but don't see your membership expiration date, make sure you're signed in to the correct account. Sometimes memberships can be under a different account if you have multiple registered.

If you've confirmed your account and membership but still see a watermark, reach out to support@PhotoCut.com with a screenshot of your payment for further assistance.

Can Pro Membership Purchased in App be Used for Windows or Mac?

Currently, the Pro membership for the mobile app cannot be used for Windows or Mac. The mobile app and desktop versions are developed by different teams, so the memberships are separate. However, efforts are being made to achieve full interoperability in the future.

For a refund, if you bought PhotoCut on Windows, get in touch with support. Request a refund from Apple directly for subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play Store.

You can delete your account in the PhotoCut app by going to “Settings” >> “Username” >> “Delete account”.
